It would be difficult to avoid comparing this dense, sweeping production to shoegaze veterans Slowdive or My Bloody Valentine– but this is not imitation or ritual. TRR have artfully defined their sound with a subtly seldom expressed by their predecessors. The title track is guided by beautifully layered guitars & controlled noise, at times bursting with rich detail. It dazzles with emotions that swirl up into a crescendo of distortion & ambient sound. Elsewhere, the distinct poppiness of Blur the Lines & Tomorrow is underlined with a sadness fashioned of boy-girl harmonies. 5 song CDEP in digipak
