”Philadelphia-based metal band Spesimin conjures a dark, intense realm through heavy riffs and disturbing imagery, addressing the ills of modern life with cathartic energy. Formed in 2019 by Ian (vocals/drums), a punk-rooted musician, and Alejandro (guitar), who brings a jazz influence, the band gained depth in 2020 with bassist Jeff”s love for Florida Death Metal and New York Hardcore. Together, they forge a unique, melodic brand of ”Metalpunk,” merging Punk, Hardcore Thrash, and Death Metal with rock grooves and melodies, moving toward doomier, technically elaborate compositions.
