The seven ladies of Saucejas embody the traditions inherited from Latvia”s various regions. In full voice, they sing resonant, expressive open-air songs, the very same that young maids sung in choruses to celebrate the beauty of nature, the arrival of spring or the waning of summer, as well as songs that stimulated people”s efforts during collective tasks. This album was recorded live in Paris.
