Third album of masters of Black depressive, blackgaze metal.

Released digitally in summer 2018, Rain is the latest full-length album by Mexican-born, Illinois-based studio project Sadness. Completely managed by multi-instrumentalist Elisa, Sadness came under the spotlight in recent years for its restless activity and the constant improvement in each and every release.

Rain is the second release brought to physical format by Flowing Downward, following last year”s acclaimed Leave. Blurry drum-machine patterns, unclear synths and otherworldly shrieks are still Sadness trademark along these six new tracks spanning from less than four to almost seventeen minutes of length. Depressive black metal and blackgaze melt together along fifty-three minutes of new music, and even though lyrics are once again undisclosed, the gloomy, ethereal mood of the album makes words just accessory.
