Prize Country click together perfectly. For the last 3 years it”s if the only time they”re not on tour is to write songs and record them. Having dished out a full length, a few EPs, and a bunch of splits they took some time to hone the songs that would comprise ”With Love”, their second full length and debut for Hex Records. These four road dogs create music that is rooted in early 90”s post-hardcore dynamics of sound, texture, and a good deal of heaviness that brings to mind Quicksand, Drive Like Jehu, Fugazi, as well as later-era Snapcase and then cranks the volume to obscene levels so as to destroy audiences right after they knock their socks off with their energy and musicianship. Prize Country will be tour throughout the Fall, covering these United States before embarking on a European tour in the Winter. After that, who knows” More than likely either back on the road or writing more songs in their never-ending quest for the perfect riff.
