From the rollicking opening notes of “”Pleasing to Me,”” straight into heartbreak territory with “”Broken Vows,”” Musicians on Foul Deeds include Anthony Crawford on guitars and harmony vocals, Ben Keith on pedal steel, dobro and Hammond B3, Rick Rosas on bass and Phil Jones on drums. A few other notables join Pegi and her band, including Spooner Oldham playing Wurlitzer on “”Starting Over,”” a country-tinged romping lament written by Young and Crawford.
