2006’s Offer the Light is the second release from Noctorum, the collaboration ofMarty Willson-Piper (The Church, All About Eve, The Saints) and multi-instrumentalist/producer Dare Mason (The Church, Placebo, Wedding Present).Following the band’s most successful album to date, 2019’s The Afterlife, and 2021’s Record Store Day vinyl release of their debut Sparks Lane, this reissue of Offer The Light is eagerly awaited, especially as both The Afterlife and Sparks Lane sold out immediately and are currently out of print. .Offer The Light’s sonic blueprint doesn’t stray too far from The Church’s blend of Velvet Underground menace and the Byrd’s glorious ’s a rather beautiful “’70s rock album”, along the lines of Pink Floyd, but not too far from the band for which Willson-Piper is most famous.
