As a group on the forefront of the Philly Soul explosion of the 1970s and the back end of the Black Power movement of the late 1960s, they were tapped into the revolutionary soul music movement, both with their works and their invocation of the original Nat Turner Rebellion, and this album is their long overdue first dispatch.
