The name Jan Koetsier is familiar to many performers, teachers, and students of the tuba. This is due primarily to the popularity of three compositions, which are frequently performed in recitals and have been included in the repertoire for numerous competitions. However, for many this is where their knowledge of Koetsier”s tuba works ends. Thankfully, he was inspired to compose five additional works that feature the tuba in a solo capacity. Though a few of these works have previously been recorded, this is the first recording to include all of his solo tuba works.
