His tone is incredible, his intonation flawless. He has a sense of phrasing that most flutists cannot produce without suffering the tone quality. For me, his performance of the Hindemith Sonata is the best recording available. Also worth mentioning is the balance between soloist and pianist. Great literature-great performances-great CD!
