Lance Corporal Gordon Laid (Robin Askwith), just demobbed from the army arrives at a borrowed luxury apartment to find a dying man. His neighbor turns out to be the delectable Maxine Lupercal (Fiona Richmond), superstar of stage and screen – and Gordon”s idol! Unwittingly, he also acquires a valuable secret device, the PJ46. He is pursued by international thief Moncrieff Dovecraft (Anthony Steel), and his sinister henchmen. The police are soon on his trail. Gordon accidentally sets off the PJ46 and the chase is on with both the hoods and the cops closing in… Everyone, it seems, wants to get Laid!
