On his self-titled release, world class jazz pianist Larry Fuller offers a stunning, long awaited follow-up to his acclaimed debut ”East Walker”. Fuller, who was the last pianist with the legendary Ray Brown trio, has been noted by critics to play in a way that brilliantly summarizes the history of jazz. This new recording does just that. Fuller is accompanied by Gregory Hutchinson (a fellow Ray Brown alumnus) on drums and stalwart bassist Hassan Shakur. This undeniably swinging recording features compositions by Cole Porter, Ray Brown, Joni Mitchell, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mandell, Bud Powell, and others.
