This disc by jouko Harjanne, Jouko and Kari Hanninen is a collection of some of the world”s favourite and most beautiful melodies seasoned with some rarer classics now enjoying a renaissance. All the pieces have been jointly arranged by the artists themselves. Adapting to a variety of roles, such as soloist, orchestra and choir, has in some cases required them to engage in a little cutting and pasting. They have, however, tried to edit with a reverential hand so that the focus remains on the essence and message of the pieces and the fine melodies enjoy the attention they deserve.
