Luis Frank Arias is from a younger generation, but traditional Cuban song culture has fascinated him since his childhood. Together with Juan de Marcos he has been largely responsible for rescuing these songs and their poetic lyrics from oblivion. He was the lead singer in Juan de Marcos” group ”Sierra Maestra”.
