The Chicago segment of Edens Lost & Found is hosted by NPR Weekend Today”s Scott Simon and features stories about inspirational environmental activists and their plight to preserve the communities around them.

This documentary introduces Marian Byrnes, the conscience of the Calamut; Steve Packard and Debra Shore, preservers of a little ecosystem on the prairie; Illinois Teacher of the Year Deb Perryman, who plays real-life sustainability games with her high-school students; Michael and Amelia Howard, who tackle environmental justice issues in their African-American Fuller Park Neighborhood at their Eden Place nature school, and many more influential individuals.
