This release, the second joint album of composers related to Gdansk and the Chair of Composition of the local Academy of Music presents new works created in 2014-2016 (the first album appeared in 2015). The compositions vary in terms of genre and expression, sometimes subtly marked with individual preferences, sometimes clearly characterized by fixed elements of the musical language of their creators. In each of them we are dealing with creative reference to traditional forms, genres, or compositional techniques – with a sui generis synthesis, impressive evocation or postmodern game with the music of the past in an original, attractive sound approach.
