Diego Figueiredo”s I Love Samba features original compositions with remarkable interplay by the Dream Team of Brazilian jazz

The amazing Diego Figueiredo continues to gather new listeners and new friends wherever he goes, and as audiences in more than sixty countries can attest, he is a traveling man. The delightful ”I Love Samba” follows Diego”s ”My World” from Arbors Records, which spent much of 2023 on the JazzWeek chart, ending up in the top 30 jazz albums in US airplay for the year.
As on that album, Diego is joined by the Dream Team for Brazilian jazz, bassist Nilson Matta, drummer Duduka Da Fonseca guest artist, flutist Itai Kriss. Diego says. ”Here I want to explore more Brazilian rhythms and the sounds of the great traditional Brazilian guitarists, along with my special feeling and presentation.”
This disc–all original compositions–features the remarkable interplay among the players expresses that magic at the intersection of jazz and samba.
