Third album led by American jazz drummer Billy Higgins; a five star record.

Cedar Walton, Bob Berg, Tony Dumas Billy Higgins. You already know what these four do: they do hard bop of a fairly current type (there is nothing more current than bop performed by a quartet, consisting of tenor sax and rhythms) but they do it beautifully: with vigor, warmth, musicality, swing, intelligence and excellent technique (and excuse me if that”s not enough).The record also features a curiosity: a jazz version of the well-known Estate by Bruno Martino (who in a certain summer, if I understand correctly, must have suffered a love traumaof the first magnitude). A word of praise we would like to say, in conclusion, for Bob Berg, whom we consider one of the best tenor saxophonists of the ”80s.
